Classes are taught in a high energy atmosphere to motivating music focusing on full body strength and conditioning.
Each class has 14 people or less, which means you get the personal attention you need to progress faster.
The Megaformer is a specialised fitness equipment on which the reform method exercises are based. This Lagree machine consists of a moving platform along with resistance springs, on which you can perform a range of movements and exercises - over 1,000 of them! At Reform Athletica, we have a dedicated Lagree fitness studio space for pilates-inspired Megaformer training.

Lagree is a high-intensity, low-impact training method created by Sebastien Lagree. It’s performed on the Megaformer, a spring-loaded machine with a moving platform designed for constant resistance and full-body engagement. Largee combines Pilates-inspired movements with faster tempos and heavier resistance to deliver a more dynamic and challenging session than traditional Pilates.
While traditional Pilates is performed on a Reformer or mat and focuses on slow, controlled movements to improve flexibility, posture and core strength, Lagree’s Megaformer adds advanced features for higher resistance and multi-joint, compound movements. This pushes your muscles to fatigue more quickly and keeps them under continuous tension, boosting strength and cardiovascular endurance.
In Pilates, the primary focus is core stability, alignment and breathing techniques, often in a calm, meditative setting. Lagree shares the emphasis on core but engages the entire body at a higher intensity to sculpt long, lean muscles while improving strength, stamina and coordination.
In our Lagree class (the Reform Method), you’ll spend 50 minutes performing high-intensity, low-impact strength exercises on the Lagree Megaformer. The calories you burn in a Lagree class can vary depending on your weight, fitness level and how hard you work. Most people will burn between 350 and 800+ calories in a 45–50 minute session, which is why it’s a highly efficient low-impact workout.
