Our studio is also plastic-free. This is because we are passionate about doing our part to reduce waste and protect the environment. We have our own in-house juice bar, RA Fresh, at selected locations which only uses biodegradable to-go cups and offers discounts to customers who bring their own mugs.

Yoga is a spiritual and physical practice that combines three elements: postures or movement (asana), meditation (dhyana) and breathing (pranayama). At our RA yoga classes, you would flow through each of those pillars in a 60-minute practice primed to increase your flexibility and mobility as well as leave you centred in your mind and good in your body.

Our yoga begins with sequences to warm the spine and connect with your breath, then transitions into a series of dynamic movements—all to open the body and build strength through your full range of motion. Our pace then slows for deeper stretches, held with the support of props and steady breathing, giving you time to reflect, release tension and reconnect with your body.

Practising yoga can have many health benefits for your mind and body, including:

  • Improve flexibility and balance: Stretching and controlled movements gradually increase your range of motion and promote stability, which supports better posture and movement in daily life.
  • Relieve stress: Breath work, mindful movement and moments of stillness can release tension, calm the mind, and enhance your overall sense of wellbeing.

While yoga alone is not the most calorie-intensive exercise, it can still help with weight management. The mindfulness aspect of yoga encourages healthier eating patterns: studies find that regular yoga practitioners are more in tune with hunger and fullness cues and tend to gain less weight over time. In fact, one study highlighted how people doing ≥30 min/week of yoga for years had lower BMI, and overweight individuals often lost weight.

To use yoga for weight loss, you can mix in more vigorous formats that incorporate yoga movements into faster-paced, strength-focused flows. RA’s Sculpt class is a prime example of this approach, combining yoga-inspired exercises with barre and Pilates techniques for a high-energy, low-impact session that builds muscle tone and strength and promotes healthy weight management.

The number of calories you burn in a yoga class can vary widely depending on factors like your body weight, fitness level, the style of yoga and how long and intense the session is. In general, a yoga class can burn anywhere from around 180 to 460 calories.

Gentler styles, like Hatha yoga, tend to be on the lower end of the scale. This slower-paced discipline focuses more on alignment, breath and relaxation, which is why it’s ideal for beginners or anyone looking for a restorative practice.

More vigorous formats, such as Bikram yoga, increase calorie burn by adding heat, humidity and challenging postures. Styles that keep you moving throughout the class, or that require more strength and balance, will naturally burn more energy.
