Hii! My name is Jida Ojjeh. I am originally Syrian and grew up in Dubai. Movement has always been a constant in my life. If I wasn’t in dance or gymnastics class, I was doing cartwheels in my room. I later moved to New York for University to study Child and Adolescent Mental Health Studies and to navigate the hustle and bustle of the city, I found yoga and it quickly became a safe space for me. The effects it had on my mind and body were so profound that I went on to complete my first teacher training at Core Power while I was in university.
My love for mental well-being and movement keeps growing, and I’m excited to keep learning as a teacher and as a student. My goal for every class is to create a safe, welcoming space where students can reconnect with their inner child through playful dynamic movement, to slow down, and check in with their mind and body—ultimately, to leave with their cup just a little fuller than when they arrived.
