Before preparing your bag for your Pilates or Lagree class, decide what to wear first. But what do you need for a Pilates class?
The best outfits for these workouts are light, gym or fitness apparel. Examples are slim-fit T-shirts, sports tops, long or short leggings or shorts.
Lagree in Dubai combines machine-focused high-intensity and low-impact exercises with movements inspired by Pilates, which is why form-fitting clothes are recommended.
These pieces reduce the chances of any part of your clothes getting caught on the reformer. They also help the instructor clearly see your movements.
Avoid wearing baggy pants, oversized tops, and other loose clothing since they may get in the way when you use the machines. They can also be distracting.
Bring these items for a smooth, focused Lagree or Pilates class:
Pilates and Lagree classes are low-impact but can still make you sweat. Bring a water bottle to drink from frequently to avoid dehydration.
Reform Athletica is on a mission to reduce the use of one-time plastic so we have water stations to refill your bottle. We also have reusable bottles for sale. Make sure you stay hydrated in class and during your personal training session.
Also called traction and non-slip socks, this particular type of foot covering comes with rubberized soles that give the wearer extra traction. These Lagree and Pilates must-haves help you maintain stability and avoid slipping when you’re on a mat or using the reformer, megaformer, or Lagree microformer. These are mandatory in all Reform Method classes and are available for purchase at any of our studios!
A ponytail holder or hair band can keep your hair out of your face and help you avoid pushing it back every now and then, which can affect your focus. Place two or more in your bag to have extras in case the one you’re wearing breaks.
If you want to take a shower or change your workout clothes after the session, bring an additional set of clothing. We have changing facilities with all the required amenities at your disposal.
You can bring a dry bag or ziplock bag to store your used clothes and keep them away from your other clean items - or use ours. We have dry bags in all our changing rooms.
Pack a face mist, facial wipes, hand sanitizer, deodorant, and other essentials you need to freshen up if you don’t plan to take a shower post-class.
You don’t need to bring a towel as these are available at the studios. However, remember to put it in a laundry basket in the studio or changing room after using it.
There are several things that are better left outside of Pilates and Lagree classes. These include your phone and other electronic devices, as they can cause distractions to you, other clients and the trainer! .
Please refrain from bringing food, glass, and crockery inside the studio and changing rooms for safety reasons.
